AFT Connecticut has been working for many years to enact a quality education agenda that creates the kind of environments where educators and school community members can make a difference every day.

This year, Gov. Malloy has made improvement of public education his top priority. We expect everything from early childhood education to teacher preparation and evaluation to be on the table.

It’s important that all stakeholders be involved in these discussions.  We know that delivering a quality education takes a team. From teachers to paraprofessionals, administrators to parents, boards of education to school nurses, everyone has a role in making sure students get the best education possible.
