Leaders testify on Governor's education bill

AFT Connecticut President Sharon Palmer testified before the Joint Committee on Education on Governor Malloy's proposed education bill, Senate Bill 24.

"This public hearing is one step along the way to reaching an agreement that supports teachers and improves education for every child in Connecticut," said Palmer.

Also testifying at the hearing was State Vocational Federation of Teachers, Local 4200A, President Jan Hochadel.

"The Technical High School System is critical to our state's economic recovery," said Hocadel. "It's important that the legislature support our schools with the resources necessary to help our teachers provide their students with the best training and education possible."
